Araptus Vercel Status for macOS · Last updated 6 May 2026

Araptus Vercel Status is a macOS menu bar application developed by Araptus. This policy describes how the app handles your data.

Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The app operates entirely on your device. There are no analytics, crash reporting, telemetry, or third-party SDKs.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your Mac:

  • Vercel API Token — Stored in the macOS Keychain, encrypted by the operating system. The token is only used to authenticate requests to the Vercel API and is never transmitted to any other server.
  • Account Preferences — Team names, notification settings, pinned projects, and polling intervals are stored in the app's local preferences. This data never leaves your device.

Network Requests

The app communicates exclusively with the Vercel API at https://api.vercel.com to fetch deployment and project data. All requests are made over HTTPS. No data is sent to Araptus or any third party.

Notifications

Deployment status notifications are generated locally on your device using macOS system notifications. Notification content is not transmitted externally.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties. There is no data to share — the app does not collect any.

Data Deletion

Removing all accounts within the app deletes your Vercel API token from the Keychain and clears all local preferences. Uninstalling the app removes all remaining data.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.

Does the Vercel Firewall Actually Work? Reddit Asks — Here Are 96 Days of Logs

Reddit asks this constantly and nobody posts numbers. Here are mine: 238 probe events from rented cloud servers in 39 days, then zero for the next 57 — with a public third-party record to check it against.

Where Does Bot Traffic Actually Come From? Reddit Asks — I Resolved Every Address

I looked up the network owner of all 194 addresses that touched my system in 96 days. 87% of the hostile ones were rented cloud servers. 90% of everyone else was a home internet connection.

Only the Defender Is Disarmed: The Hugging Face AI Breach and the Guardrail Asymmetry Problem
