A Year of Compound Growth
As 2025 comes to a close, I wanted to do something I've always believed in but rarely see in our industry: share real numbers.
Not vanity metrics. Not cherry-picked success stories. The actual data from a year of building, optimizing, and growing—both for Araptus and for our clients.
What you'll find here is an honest retrospective: what worked, what didn't, where we're headed, and the metrics that prove the strategies I preach actually deliver results.
The Numbers: Araptus in 2025
Let me put these numbers in context. At the start of 2025, we were barely visible in search. Now we're appearing in results over 600,000 times. That's not paid advertising—that's organic reach built through consistent content, technical excellence, and strategic SEO.
What People Are Finding Us For
Search Console reveals exactly what queries are driving traffic. Here's what's working:
| Query | Clicks | Impressions | Trend |
|---|---|---|---|
| araptus | 47 | 206 | ↑ Branded |
| astro woocommerce | 43 | 281 | ↑ Growing |
| compact keywords | 10 | 461 | → Opportunity |
| web development houston | 7 | 5,812 | ↑ Local |
| houston web development | 6 | 3,051 | ↑ Local |
| medusajs astro | 4 | 33 | ↑ Niche |
| astro shopify | 2 | 63 | ↑ Niche |
Key Insights
Astro + E-commerce Niche
Our content on Astro integrations (WooCommerce, Shopify, MedusaJS) is establishing us as the go-to resource for headless e-commerce with Astro.
Local Market Presence
"Web development Houston" queries show nearly 9,000 impressions. We're becoming visible in our home market.
2026 Focus Area
"Compact keywords" shows 461 impressions but only 10 clicks. That's a 2.2% CTR—below our branded queries. Optimizing this content is a priority for Q1.
Client Results: Every Site Trending Up
Here's what I'm most proud of from 2025: every single client we worked with saw positive growth trajectories.
Not some clients. Not most clients. Every client.
100% Client Growth Rate
Across all active client projects in 2025, we achieved consistent upward trends in key metrics:
What Made the Difference
Looking at the data across all client projects, a few patterns emerge:
- Technical FoundationHigh-performance Astro builds with 90+ Lighthouse scores created the base for everything else.
-
Consistent ContentWeekly publishing schedules created compound growth over time.
-
Local SEO FocusLocation-specific pages and Google Business optimization drove local visibility.
-
Security & Trust SignalsEnterprise-grade security implementation built credibility with both users and search engines.
What I Learned in 2025
Sixteen years in this industry, and I still learn something new every year. Here's what 2025 taught me:
Astro Is the Future
Our bet on Astro paid off massively. The performance gains directly translated to better rankings, lower bounce rates, and happier clients. Every site we migrated to Astro saw immediate improvements.
Content Compounds
Posts we published in Q1 didn't start ranking until Q3. But when they ranked, they brought consistent traffic month after month. Patience with content marketing is non-negotiable.
Local + Niche = Wins
"Houston web development" is competitive. "Astro WooCommerce integration" isn't. Owning niche topics while building local presence created a dual-track growth strategy that worked.
Security Is Marketing
Enterprise-grade security isn't just about protection—it's a selling point. Clients increasingly ask about security first. Our Sentry and Axiom integrations became differentiators.
What Didn't Work (Honesty Corner)
No year is without its failures. Here's where we fell short:
0.2% click-through rate on 604K impressions means we're getting visibility but not clicks. Our meta titles and descriptions need work. This is a Q1 2026 priority—A/B testing titles and improving snippet appeal.
We're ranking for a lot of terms, but many are on page 5-6. This indicates we have topical authority building, but need to focus on pushing key terms to page 1. Quality over quantity in 2026.
We focused heavily on SEO and neglected social amplification. Great content that isn't promoted is a missed opportunity. Building a more robust social strategy for 2026.
The 2026 Roadmap
Based on 2025's data, here's where we're focusing next year:
Q1 2026: Optimization Sprint
- Audit and rewrite meta titles/descriptions for high-impression pages
- Push top 20 keywords from page 2-3 to page 1
- Implement schema markup across all blog content
Q2 2026: Content Expansion
- Launch dedicated Astro tutorials hub
- Create comprehensive guides for each e-commerce platform integration
- Double down on Houston-specific content
Q3-Q4 2026: Scale & Authority
- Target Domain Rating of 40+
- Expand to additional Texas markets (Austin, Dallas, San Antonio)
- Launch case study series with detailed client results

Here's to 2026
2025 was about building foundations. We established our technical approach, proved our strategies work, and built a portfolio of client successes we're incredibly proud of.
2026 will be about scaling what works. More content. Better rankings. Bigger client wins. And continuing to share everything we learn along the way.
If there's one thing I hope you take from this post, it's this: growth is possible, even in competitive markets, if you commit to the fundamentals.
